Cast your own wedding rings or engagement ring
Casting in jewelry is the process in which molten metal is introduced into a mold to form a piece or part of jewelry. The following is a very brief outline of what the class would consist of if you cast your wedding bands or engagement ring. Casting will require multiple visits to the studio.
Design your ring: Casting will allow you to create more flexibility in ring designs than you would be able to fabricate on your own.
Sprues are passages through which the molten metal will flow to reach your ring.
The wax models are invested in plaster.
The plaster mold is allowed to dry then is slowly heated to over 1000°.
The metal is melted and forced into the mold.
