Design your own engagement ring

Centerpiece

The defining design element that makes an engagement ring is the centerpiece. Most often, that centerpiece is a solitaire diamond. Their durability make them a symbol of lasting commitment, their alluring sparkle is irresistable. While I generally recommend a diamond centerpiece, the centerpiece should depend entirely on your charm and your lady's taste.

If you already have a diamond:
We can set the diamond into your ring in my studio. If it is in a ring, bring it by in advance (if possible) so we can see the specs and remove it from the setting. If it is new, give me the specs from the report. Diamonds are durable and rarely break during setting.

If you want to buy a diamond:
Be careful not to overpay for a diamond. If you need some advice on buying a diamond, feel free to call. You may want to discuss your design before purchasing a diamond, as design should determine the diamond specs.

If you don't want a diamond:
If she does not want a diamond, there are numerous excellent alternatives that are beautiful and less expensive. Almost anything small and durable can be part of an engagement ring. If you want it to look like a diamond, I recommend synthetic Moissanite.

Warning: If your girlfriend is politically liberal and/or environmental, there is a chance that she strongly dislikes diamonds. If you think this might be the case, call me and I'll explain the ramifications and appropriate alternatives.
